Michael Brennan Spirit Award

The Michael Brennan Spirit Award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the spirit of the cause for cystic fibrosis and the game of football.

The 1999 UnitedHealthcare Empire Challenge football game was dedicated to the memory of Michael Brennan, Boomer Esiason Foundation intern. All players who participated in the game wore an “MB” emblem on their helmets to honor the memory of Michael.

Michael's favorite song was Some Days Are Diamonds by John Denver The lyrics "...some days are diamonds, some days are stones"..... related to his life: the ups and downs, and the struggles of living with cystic fibrosis.
